The Pushcart Begins

Brothers Dane and Travis Boersma launch Dutch Bros Coffee with a single espresso pushcart in Grants Pass, Oregon. Armed with passion for coffee and an even greater passion for people, they set out to brighten every customer’s day.

EARLY GROWTH
First Drive-Thru Stand Opens

The brothers open their first official drive-thru stand, creating the template that would define Dutch Bros: fast service, genuine connection, and handcrafted drinks made with care. Customers line up down the street.

Franchising Begins

Dutch Bros opens its franchising model, letting passionate operators carry the brand’s culture into new communities. Every new franchise owner is personally trained to uphold the Dutch Luv philosophy.

TRIBUTE & LEGACY
Honoring Dane Boersma

Co-founder Dane Boersma passes away from ALS. In his memory, Travis and the entire Dutch Bros family launch the Dutch Bros Foundation, which has since raised millions for ALS research, pediatric cancer, and community causes.

How do I join the Rewards program? +
Joining is completely free! Download the Dutch Bros app on iOS or Android, create your account, and start earning points immediately. You’ll get access to birthday rewards, exclusive deals, and double-point promos the moment you sign up.
How many points do I earn per visit? +
You earn 1 point for every $1 spent on qualifying purchases. During special events you can earn 2x or 3x points. Points can be redeemed starting at 25 points and they never expire as long as you make at least one purchase every 12 months.
Does Dutch Bros offer dairy-free options? +
Yes! We offer oat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk as dairy-free alternatives at most locations. Many syrups are also vegan-friendly. Ask your Broista for the full list of customization options available at your local stand.
What is “Dutch Luv”? +
